Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Crucible Investments Limited (“we”, “us”, “CalculatorHub”) handles information in connection with calculatorhub.com (the “Site”). It is written to meet the EU/UK GDPR as the strictest standard and applies worldwide; region-specific rights are in the regional sections below.
1. The most important point: we do not store what you enter
All calculations run in your browser (client-side). The values you type into our tools are never sent to us, never recorded, and never stored on our servers. We do not have user accounts, and we do not build profiles of you ourselves.
We do, however, process a small amount of information for running and funding the Site, described below - principally through advertising and analytics cookies and standard server logs.
2. Who is responsible (data controller)
Crucible Investments Limited (New Zealand company no. 9401778, NZBN 9429053412676), registered office 46 Jacks Drive, West Melton 7618, New Zealand. Contact: contact@calculatorhub.com.
Under Article 27 of the EU GDPR and Article 27 of the UK GDPR, we have appointed the following representatives, who may be contacted by data subjects and supervisory authorities in addition to or instead of us on all matters relating to the processing of personal data.
EU Representative: Euverify Ltd (Ireland), Unit 3D, North Point House, North Point Business Park, New Mallow Road, Cork, T23 AT2P, Ireland. Email: gdpr@euverify.com.
UK Representative: Euverify Ltd (UK), 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. Email: gdpr@euverify.com.
You can submit a Data Subject Access Request (DSAR), a deletion request, or any other GDPR enquiry through our representative’s secure portal: https://gdpr.euverify.com/verify/700bb9d6-92cb-4466-a9ee-4caf79428fe7. See also our dedicated GDPR page.
3. What we process, why, and the legal basis
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Server logs (IP address, user-agent, request time, pages) - transient | Security, abuse/fraud prevention, basic operation | Legitimate interests (Art 6(1)(f)) |
| Advertising cookies/identifiers (Google AdSense and partners) | To show ads, including personalised ads, frequency capping, reporting, fraud prevention | Consent (Art 6(1)(a)) where required |
| Analytics (Google Analytics 4) | Aggregate usage measurement | Consent (Art 6(1)(a)) where required |
| Consent record (your cookie choices) | To honour your choices | Legal obligation / legitimate interests |
We do not process the contents of your calculations, and we do not knowingly process special-category data or children’s data.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense) and analytics
We may use Google AdSense to show ads (advertising is not currently enabled on the Site) and we use Google Analytics 4 to measure usage. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits here and/or other sites. Where required (EEA, UK, Switzerland), these load only after you consent via our consent banner, and we operate a Google-certified Consent Management Platform with Google Consent Mode v2. See the Cookie Policy.
You can control or opt out of personalised advertising:
- Google Ads Settings: https://adssettings.google.com
- https://www.aboutads.info/choices , https://www.youronlinechoices.eu , https://youradchoices.ca
5. Recipients and international transfers
Recipients are our hosting provider, Google (ads/analytics), and Google’s advertising partners.
The Site is hosted by Hetzner (Hetzner Online GmbH), a hosting provider headquartered in Germany, on infrastructure located in a United States data centre (Ashburn, Virginia). Hetzner operates ISO/IEC 27001-certified data centres and processes hosting data in compliance with the GDPR. See Hetzner’s privacy policy and Digital Services Act information.
Because the Site’s hosting infrastructure and Google (advertising and analytics) process data in the United States, some personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA and the UK. These transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards: we have concluded a data processing agreement with Hetzner Online GmbH under which processing at its US data centres is carried out by approved subcontractors bound to equivalent data protection obligations in accordance with Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR, and Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension.
6. Retention
Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security (a short rotation) and are then deleted. Cookie lifetimes are listed in the Cookie Policy. We hold no calculation inputs to retain.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, port your data, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). To exercise them, contact contact@calculatorhub.com or our EU/UK representatives in section 2. You may also complain to your supervisory authority: in Ireland the Data Protection Commission (DPC), in the United Kingdom the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), and in New Zealand the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (OPC).
8. Cookies
We use cookies as described in the Cookie Policy. You can change your choices at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from children (under 16 in the EEA, under 13 in the US per COPPA). If you believe a child has provided data, contact us.
Regional sections
European Economic Area / United Kingdom / Switzerland
Advertising and analytics in the EEA and UK run only with your consent, collected through a Google-certified consent platform: until you consent, no advertising or analytics cookies are set and any ads shown are non-personalised/contextual only. Our EU and UK Article 27 representatives are Euverify Ltd (Ireland) and Euverify Ltd (UK); their contact details and our secure DSAR portal are in section 2 and on our GDPR page. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission; in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office). Switzerland is not actively targeted at launch.
United States
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising cookies may be a “sale” or “sharing” / “targeted advertising” under US state laws (California CCPA/CPRA; Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and others). You can opt out via our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link, and we honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals.
