This calculator gives your current attendance percentage from sessions attended out of those held, and, if your course has a minimum requirement and a known total number of sessions for the term, the most additional sessions you can miss while staying at or above the line. Current attendance = (attended / held so far) * 100
Missed so far = held so far - attended
Min sessions required = ceil(term total * min required / 100)

The current percentage is a simple ratio of attended to held. The margin assumes you attend every remaining session and counts how many further absences keep you at or above the minimum across the full term.
Worked example
Attended 38 of 45 held so far, 60 sessions in the term, minimum 75 percent. Current attendance = 38 / 45 times 100 = 84.44 percent. Missed so far = 45 minus 38 = 7. Minimum sessions required = ceil(60 times 0.75) = 45. More you can miss = 60 minus 45 minus 7 = 8 sessions while staying at 75 percent.

How do I calculate attendance percentage?
Divide classes attended by total classes held, then multiply by 100. If you attended 38 of 45 sessions, that is 38 / 45 = 0.844, or 84.44 percent. Count only sessions that have actually been held so far, not the whole term, unless you want a projected figure.
How many classes can I still miss?
If your course has a minimum attendance requirement, the calculator works out the most sessions you can miss across the full term while staying at or above it. It assumes you attend all remaining sessions and shows the margin you have left.
What attendance percentage do I need?
Requirements vary by institution and programme, commonly in the 75 to 90 percent range. Some scholarships, visas, and licensing bodies set their own minimums. Enter your specific requirement so the margin reflects your actual rule rather than an assumed one.
Should I include excused absences?
That depends on your institution's policy: some count excused absences as attended, others do not. Count attended sessions the way your policy defines them. This calculator simply divides whatever attended count you enter by the total.
