Time Zone Meeting Calculator
Scheduling a meeting across time zones? Enter the meeting time and your source time zone, then select up to two additional time zones to see what time the meeting falls in each location. Conversion is done by adding the difference in UTC offsets. Note that this calculator uses fixed offsets: remember to check whether daylight saving time is currently in effect for each location, as US offsets shift by one hour twice per year.
Time zone conversion formula
Target time = Source time + (Target UTC offset - Source UTC offset)
Example: 9:00 AM Eastern (UTC-5) to Pacific (UTC-8): 9:00 + (-8 - (-5)) = 9:00 - 3 = 6:00 AM Pacific. To London (UTC+0): 9:00 + (0 - (-5)) = 9:00 + 5 = 2:00 PM UTC.

Time zone meeting: frequently asked questions
How does time zone conversion work?
Each time zone is defined by its offset from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). To convert, add or subtract the difference in UTC offsets. For example, if it is 9:00 AM Eastern (UTC-5) and you want Pacific time (UTC-8), subtract 3 hours to get 6:00 AM Pacific.
What is UTC?
UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the primary time standard by which the world regulates clocks. It does not change for daylight saving time. All time zones are expressed as positive or negative offsets from UTC.
Does this account for daylight saving time?
This calculator uses fixed UTC offsets that you select. It does not automatically apply daylight saving time changes. Remember that US time zones shift by one hour twice a year (second Sunday in March and first Sunday in November). Check the NIST time service for the current offset.
What are the standard US time zone UTC offsets?
Eastern Standard Time is UTC-5 (EDT is UTC-4). Central Standard Time is UTC-6 (CDT is UTC-5). Mountain Standard Time is UTC-7 (MDT is UTC-6). Pacific Standard Time is UTC-8 (PDT is UTC-7). Alaska Standard Time is UTC-9 (AKDT is UTC-8). Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time is UTC-10.
Why does the result sometimes show the next or previous day?
When converting across many hours, the result can cross midnight and land on a different calendar day. For example, 8:00 AM UTC on Monday is 3:00 AM Eastern on the same Monday, but 1:00 PM Central European Time on the same Monday.
